The Idealworks IW.HUB is an autonomous robot currently transforming the logistics space within automotive manufacturing. In 2020, I had the opportunity to work at BMW through the BMW Group QUT Design Academy Internship program - while there, I assisted with the digitalization of the STR v4, a pivotal smart transport robot that would eventually become the flagship hardware device for Idealworks—later renamed to the IW.HUB, the robot, automates material flows within BMW’s factories and has been a significant contributor towards establishing the VDA 5050 industry standard for autonomous mobility robots. I worked within this project's Modelling and Rendering phases and art-directed a collection of images used on the Idealworks website and BMW’s social channels. Over the next three years, several digital packages were developed, including 3D configurators, accessory products, and interior detailing. This project presents an overview of my contributions to BMW and the digital media outcomes for Idealworks.
