In 2022, we worked alongside the OLO Marker team to craft a launch film that would introduce their new brand and marker system to the creative market. While the OLO name was new, the team behind it brought over two decades of expertise in developing high-performance markers for professional use. This new generation of markers represented a shift - built from the ground up through a culmination of artist feedback and material innovation. OLO markers feature a modular cartridge system, high-quality Japanese nibs, and a patented free-flow ink delivery system that enables over 90% ink usage. In contrast to traditional alcohol markers, which average around 2ml of total ink and rely on absorbent reservoirs that trap a significant percentage, each OLO double-ended marker contains 4ml of fully usable ink. This project required us to communicate a highly technical innovation through a film that was both educational and visually compelling.
